Can anyone explain why the ice has cleared out of Round Lake but not the big pond or Charlevoix?

Mikey, I "P" off the round lake side of the bridge regularly & that keeps it warmed up!!!

Round Lake has several bubblers around the docks and a strong current runs thru there between Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. At times the current will change. Moving water keeps the ice clear.
