In 2000 I ran my Black Thunder in the “Bay City Poker Run” It was covered by Powerboat Magazine. Attached is the article that was done on us and the event

The run was fun but had a couple of issues with one of the stops (Too shallow for many to enter the channel) After this event I decided to talk to my friend Bob about starting our own event . It started the wheels running to get Smoke On The Water Poker Run going the next year

Bay city can be a fun place to run out of but as was stated Accommodations are a bit sparse. But then again we stayed on the boat
