NJPPC 30' & under "BlackJack Run" Sept 4.
How can anyone pass this one up????:
NJPPC BlackJack Run Entry The entry fee includes:
All for only $140!!! ![]() I'm in - This is a steal. The dining arrangements alone are worth the money. I spoke with Dave Patnaude of the NJPPC last weekend. They are working on launch, parking, and docking arrangements as well as the exact route. Since this is Labor Day weekend, the idea is to use only private docks and boats as card stops, and to finish before boat traffic starts to pick up. Download the above .pdf for more details, including local hotels.

This run is being moved to Saturday, September 11th due to Hurricane Earl. Since the run is no longer scheduled for Labor Day weekend, it looks like the Captain's meeting will be re-scheduled to that morning as well.
Looks like there will be more entries that weekend as well.

It's now been rescheduled to September 11 due to Hurricane Earl. Go to NJPPC.com for more details.
Bill - You can always ride with me. Hopefully the changes Hering made to the prop will wake the boat up the rest of the way...

Bill - I understand that your "primary" ride might be out of action. You and Bob are welcome to ride with me if you still want to go...

Thanks Chuck, was thinking about pulling out the backup boat but don't want to dunk the trailer in the salt. I will talk to Bob and see what his plans are.

Thanks, Mark. It was a big project and steep learning curve. We're zeroing in on the proper prop specs and should have it running to it's full potential shortly. Here are two other videos from the day:
Blackjack/Batboat #1 (Check out the near-miss with a cormorant around 3:35!!! We were doing about 75 at the time...) Blackjack/Batboat #2

It's still running a bit nose-down; we're looking at ways to move weight rearwards and I'm going to send the prop back to Hering again for more re-work. It was much better than before. In its original form, it would bury the nose so hard that the best we could get was 78 mph. In one shot, Hering got us up to 92, so we're halfway to our theoretical speed of 112...
