We had a great day on the water Saturday, but a pair of 9's doesn't go very far these days. I got to meet Steeled Outlaw and see Dock again. We hooked up with them at the T-60 after getting a late start to change out the batteries in the Baja Boss 272 Dock's original Baja. We were going to run up to Clemson with the pack, but my son let his cap blow off and we had to drop back to retrieve it. After we completed the salvage of the cap there wasn't a rooster tail in sight. Navigating the chop and wakes behind two Outlaws and the several beak boats will keep you on your toes. Since there was no way we could catch back up to the pack we finished up on the South end and checked our hands in about 3:00 PM. I was sorry that we didn't get to meet any of the other guys. We need to put up a Boat Freaks Banner, or something, at the card check in next year so that we can put faces with names.
Who was solo in the red Donzi 22 (I don't think it was an 18) Classic. You don't see many solid red ones and only a few with a windshield. We got some pretty good air a few times negotiating the wakes to find a running lane so I know he spent some air time. I miss my Sweet 16 sometimes, but not the fact that you worked your a$$ off driving that puppy.
