Lake Hartwell Meals on Wheels Poker Run 2005

We had a great time at the poker run this year. We got to meet some new friends, and see some old ones. Everyone made the entire run with zero problems. Dinner at the Galley last night was excellent. You could not have drawn up a better weekend.
Here are a few of our pictures. I'm sure Dock will contribute when he gets back. |

Jeff,
First off "Happy 40th Birthday"!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have done a great job with this thread and I cannot tell you what a good time we had at Hartwell. Thanks again for putting everything together! The Poker run did very well for the Charity which is the most important thing. There were a LOT of very nice volunteers that made this all happen. But lets not forget that it is Memorial Day weekend and I want to thank the local National Guard that did a VERY good job at the event. Doc |

With holiday & race traffic we got down there LATE Friday night, but got a good nights rest and were ready to go early Saturday morning. I think Jeff and us were the first two boats to get the vessell safety inspection and our extra bonus card for the poker run.
We had one hand with 3 Aces and one hand with 3 sixes, so we were counting on the bonus card for an ace, six or a jack wild card to beat the winning full house, and we got a NINE. Oh well, that's the way the cards fell! |

America is a "GREAT" place to live!!!! Imagine being 23 Years old and already having a "CUSTOM" build 42 Fountain. But these guys are really VERY nice level headed guys, that love life and like all of us "Love Boating"! |
