Just an informal poll of whom may be coming to the Races/Poker Run this year?
I would guess that some changed plans after Irma hit. City of KW is ready for the most part from what I have seen. Some dockage is still missing but the drinking establishments are ready and need your tourist dollars. Hope you all have fun. If you are driving down try not to look at the mountains of debris on the roadsides. Hope to see meet some "Hoes" there.

Touchdown at 8:35 PM on 11/8 (Wed). Can't get here soon enough.

We are flying into Ft. Lauderdale, landing late on Wednesday. Be in KW Thursday late morning/early afternoon.

Be drunk shortly after that.

I plan to be in KW Wed. night, say 11:59 PM.

I hate to disappoint you but it will be an hour after touchdown till youre in the rental car then its a beautiful 4 hour drive to Key West

I hope you are wrong, but it really wont matter either way. I will start drinking the minute I get to the airport, and I have my mini bar packed for the car ride down.

For those driving down, a word of advice. Avoid driving between 7am and 9am. The school buses will be making frequent stops and backing up traffic.:yessirbow

I always thought I'd do the Fort Myers - Key West Ferry the next time I go down. $140 round trip and 3.5 on a boat vs in a car.

FB memory came up today. 5 years ago today we flew into Miami and drove to Marathon to stay here for a few days. A friend of Heidi’s owned it. The couple that owned it crashed their plane in Montana last year. Husband and wife along with their youngest child all passed. The teenage son was back home in Petoskey. He now owns all the property across the country. If you drive by it, would be nice to see if it is still standing. It was on the south side of the road, on the north side of town.
