2012 Lake Murray Poker Run / June 8-9
 

Another great year is on tap for the Ducks Unlimited Lake Murray Poker Run. The dates are set for June 8-9 on beautiful Lake Murray. This years event starts again on Friday with huge raft-up party at Sandy Beach and the drag boat races will happen on saturday after the lunch stop. Lake Murray is quickly becoming a favorite stop on the poker run circuit and we look forward to having another great year!

Look forward to seeing the Boatfreaks crowd again. We are trying to add a couple more things in for the weekend. Yall pile up and come on! Jacksonville weekend was moved so yall come on to Murray Town in its place.

The site has been updated with a downloadable registration form and all the early registration information. We are getting close! T-shirts, coozies, bags,ect.are being made up and the last few details ironed out. The run will a little different this year as far as stops and the actual Capt. meeting Friday evening at the Capts. party. The changes are for the better and should make the run better. We are also paying out a few different things this year to add some more fun. See everyone in about 8 weeks!

How close is Spinners to the action?

Randy Spinners is on the north end of the lake opposite end of the start but not that big a deal and it is nice.

where we are staying is not that far from Spinners.

I thought Spinners would be close to Ligthouse, Where you guys staying?

Opposite ends of the lake. We are about 3miles south of Spinners by water on the same side of the lake.

Spinners is a nice place. Its 17 miles from there to Rusty Anbchor, not a bad ride all deep open water. Both are easy to find even at night. Like Mike and TJ said, there are pretty close to Spinners. You could hook up with them Fri, after one trip to Rusty you will have it down. We are going to have lake maps in the Capts. packets this year with GPS coordinates of all the stops and marinas. No worries! Come and enjoy.

oh yes , my boat want be ready but i will be in old reliable that is setting in my yard right now. :rock we have a house rented and will have 3 boats with us. i can't wait , it killed me to miss it last year but my daughter need surgery and it was worth it to get her better.

Sounds like a great time. Gotta get down there next year.

Ok, only about three and a half more weeks. Get ya stuff ready! We have been getting some early registrations from some folks who have never attended and they got some nice hardware. We need to make this blow the last two away.

This sucks.... my wife's work will not let her off on friday and she doesn't get home to later in the evening. So it looks like I'm not going to be able to make it.

the run is Saturday so you could leave after work Friday come down for the party Friday night and do the run Saturday believe me it would be worth it .

Everyone is excited and looking forward to seeing all of you again. Looks like it's gonna be a big weekend with more first timers.

easy tow down mike this is one you don't need to miss. Dont tell Amy that they get some big water down there..........lol........... not like the Cape Fear though!
