What do you guys plan on doing about the 55 mph inland lake speed limit?

goste 05-27-2004 07:05 AM

There has been a discussion with the Sheriff of Charlevoix Country and the limit has been lifted for this event. If there is any change to this we will post it here and it will be discussed at the meeting prior to the race.

Brooks must forgot it in he boat.

Blue Oval 10-22-2015 08:33 PM

Dr Ruff won it that year. Partied with him and his wife a couple times. They are friends of Artie and Anne. That one slipped pass me. Dr Ruff father in-law lives in Boyne City.

It's funny to see how far Boyne Thunder has come, back when it started had trouble getting enough boats and today having too many

Blue Oval 03-06-2016 03:11 AM

One of my years as Marshall boat at Beaver Island only 7 boats did the run. It was rough out, I think we had 30 boats.

jriggs 03-07-2016 08:13 AM

4 years I was able to register for my first Boyne Thunder and get a spot in the main marina. Wish I could get my 401 to grow at the BT rate!!

I need to give Howard some crap. He has not made a post since 2004. LOL He does post on FB on the CBBC page once in awhile. He really deserve some credit for getting Boyne Thunder started.

jriggs 02-18-2021 12:09 PM

Registration is March 1st, any spots left or are they all gone to the Sponsors again?

Blue Oval 02-18-2021 12:33 PM

I don’t do registration. But I can get you in the first row on the street!!

Blue Oval 03-11-2021 01:52 PM

Yes on the Street Show. I have been in talks with Ford and trying to get someone from the Bronco division to show up with one for the Party.

Blue Oval 03-22-2021 09:28 PM

I scored a 53 HCB CC for the Street Show today.

jriggs 04-19-2021 04:01 PM

I think you should pull that 53 HCB CC with your Ranger and put them both in the street show!

It only show 28000lbs. We should be fine, it’s the tongue weight of the trailer that has me concerned.

jriggs 04-20-2021 10:48 AM

Would probably look worse than this.....

Ford confirmed they will bring a Bronco and Mach E to the Street Show and provide people to answer questions about them.

Anybody parking RVs or camping in the grass down by the city lot north of the docks? Would like to slip in near somebody if they are still allowing that this year.

Last few years, I've been dropping my tent 4 miles out of town in Whiting Park, but would like to stay within walking distance of town, if I could.

I plan on stuffing my rv back behind the base ball diamond as usual......
