Really I thought the information was out there . Hornet do you live on the lake? I live over by Littles Creek Landing. There a good spot in the s-curve to watch:1bounce

PURPLE HORNET 09-16-2008 01:18 PM

I don't live on the lake but thats mostly the only lake I go on. I do know where littles creek landing is.

If you know were littles is there is a small bouyed sand bar on your right if you head to littles. I would anchor close to the sandbar and watch right there.

PURPLE HORNET 09-16-2008 02:54 PM

:captain: Thanks good info

Sounds like a good spot. What marker is that near?

vagrant 09-16-2008 07:36 PM

Looking on my Lake Norman map from West Marine the closest marker is "M1"The sand bar is marked with 3 floating markers. That should be a awesome place and safe.

i was thinking out in front of governors island -- that way you can see them come in fast and make that nice sweeping turn at speed....

socalstone 09-17-2008 01:38 PM

Yeah that would work too.
We'll probably be out and about by 10 or 11.
Buzz me on my cell if you want to raft up.

Not sure about Midtown. I have a meeting Friday afternoon.
Depends on how quick I get back. Weather is supposed to be good, so will try to be out on the lake.

Yes they should go by twice.

PURPLE HORNET 09-17-2008 10:13 PM

Looking at the map whats the closest number to governors island. I know most of the islands just not the names :slaps

Thanks for the help

apppedigree 09-17-2008 10:15 PM

I think that the lunch boat stop is supposed to be back in the hole behind the islands at the "s" turn. My be a good place to take some pics.

Looking on my West Marine map North bound starboard side Marker 5 Port side Marker 6, 4a and 4. Not sure if that would be a good location Shoal markers at 6 starboard side and marker 5 port side. This is with a heading of North bound.

Hi David,

its been a good summer -- out every weekend and running strong... just a tad bit slower than the pantera -- but a whole lot more room!

you need to get yours out there on the lake!

;-)

Changed to end of Brawley School rd.

X-driver 09-19-2008 03:32 PM

Yo Purlpe Hornet- There is a big orange plastic marker sitting down in front of the damn area. It was placed there today so......I'm guessing that is one of the card stops. I
X-Driver

PS I don't know why PRA is keeping the stops top secret...... it's not like you can't see the markers from miles away.

I hope I don't get sued for posting this info.
