I'm glad to see it sell out again and that comes as no surprise but I still think the whole sponsor idea will hurt this run. I realize it is bringing in a lot of money in the short term but when Joe blow can't even get a slip 2 minutes after registration opens because they were all taken by sponsors you have a problem. I wish the event nothing but the best and will say it is run by a great group of people but I didn't feel like going through the ordeal of trying to get in any more and I'm headed to the 1000 Islands the next week.

I offered a suggestion of a max of 20 sponsors and increase the minimum sponsorship to $5000

Hey Brooks, I thought that was my suggestion, Great minds think a like!! Oh and we both know Wrink, maybe there is a problem with our train of Thought.

We own the first house that is on the water side of of the road on Lake Shore Drive when you head south from Boyne City. It has a 100' dock but the water is shallow at only 5' at the end of the dock. I have not yet tried to dock the boat there but I will if I have to.

These arrived Friday so I may be able to run my own boat 2 years in a row.

I am not sure this is only our 3rd season there, we (my wife, daughters and I) only stay there the week of this event and we use a local guy to rent it out for the rest of the season.

If you follow Lake Shore Drive out of town about a mile it is the first house you come to that is on the lake side (right side) of the road. There are 2 houses together, our friends own the other house. It was white when we bought it but had it stripped to the natural wood siding and clear coated last year.

This pic is from 2 years ago when we brought 8 family members to Boyne Thunder and needed more sleeping space.

Floyd lives on the south side of the road just past that. I believe his nephew bought the house down from you last fall. The cabin next to Sommer Set belongs to the Sterret's.

If you skip a year, will you still get the early registration email the following year?
