No, she said that would be a conflict of interest with me running it. But I only need one now. Is your wife available to be a judge?

TripleB 06-29-2017 10:07 AM

Hey Bob, is this the best you can do for weather?:)

She is, but is usually kind of shy about those things. I can ask her though....

Has anyone contacted Bay Harbor about Thursday lunch?

Blue Oval 06-29-2017 08:35 PM

Mike and Riehl put it together. Mike didn't make it to the meeting tonight. If T gets time maybe he can give the Harbor Master a heads up. Good idea.

Maybe call the restaurants also? Very understaffed last year and they didn't know we were coming

You got me! I guess I had that coming... :slaps
But I promise I will be at Bob's to help set up for the street show at 3:30 on Friday. Unless Kelsey over at Main St. finds me something else to do...

Sometimes I get distracted. A victim of circumstance... :test:

Getting all the the last minute customers ready for Boyne Thunder again this year. Our boat was done 3 months ago unlike last year when I started assembling the engines 3 days before the run.

Coming up North - anybody ever use 127N (Through Lansing/Mt. Pleasant) as an alternate route to 23/75N?

I know it's impossible to avoid construction - but I was looking for something different...maybe a more interesting drive, if nothing else...

An extra 20 min. / half-hour is no big deal - especially during mid-week.

I think it is a great route. That stretch north of Alma is very nice and I have always had good luck with traffic flow. Safe travels!

This is the way we came up this year. Much, much better than 75

Lost my port trim tab on the way back from Bay Harbor marshall spot. Made for a long ride back to Charlevoix in those waves. But had a great crew, so all was good.

Trim tab? I haven't use my trim tab since I've owned my boat.

On another note, just an FYI Bob my vhf radio wasn't working so as you were instructing me I couldn't hear it, so the nice job was all by accident:)

TripleB 07-08-2017 11:26 PM

I will get pictures from Morgan and Tammy and post this week

It was a great poker run got to catch up with a bunch of the Ho's, Doc T, Bob, Rob, Sean, Artie, Riggs, Matt, Scott, Pete, Curt and Wally, all great people.

Blue Oval 07-09-2017 08:23 AM

I don't use my trim tabs, thought I would put them down in the rough water. Put my port down, and it would not come back up. Starboard was stuck up. Once we got to Lake Charlevoix I put everyone on one side and picked it up. Looked a little funny, but worked.
