A put a lot of work into protecting our pilot. Drone's were asked to stay clear. This guy had no visual of his drone from what I can see. ????? How did he know where the helicopter was?

Z06 07-17-2018 12:15 AM

It appears this was after all the poker run boats and marshall boats were back on lake Charlevoix. The offshore boat coming in came from Beaver island, sounded to be on one engine. I didn't realize the drones went so high!

Flat waters brought the fastest & closest fly by's we've seen in the 8 years we have been marshal boat. Quite sure several cats in the 100-150 zone, Awesome view :smiley-with-glasses. Yes, open waters miles from shore.

Cool seeing everyone have a Great time. At 9:30am visibility was 50-100 yards, by 11am when boats got to lake Michigan we had several miles of visibility. Fortunately we we able to provide 15 minute fog updates to Captain Bob's Mathers control boat.

I didn't see anything on the miss hap. Sounds like they hit something in the water pretty hard, the 4 people got ejected. All are ok, no serious injuries! Ironic on the boats name also

Thank you, this year smooth water and bright sun helped with photo taking. Last year you had the best fly by in the rough, and you were Flying but so rough I didn't have the camera out. The year best fly by was Gold Digger who appeared to be 150+ and 50ft away. One of the reasons we also were wearing our Lifelines. :rock

Way to go Doc T!

boatfreak28 07-18-2018 06:52 AM

Doc you're not a bad guy after all. I know we've talked about how much giving these rides means to you and I know it's appreciated.

Apollard 07-18-2018 07:10 AM

Nice job Tracy

Blue Oval 07-18-2018 03:32 PM

You get pretty worn out putting BT together and really drains you when people start ripping you a new one. But seeing the kids on Dr T’s boat sure make it all better. Great cause and helps keep you going.

drpete3 07-20-2018 08:43 AM

I want to congratulate all the people who help w BT. I feel this was the best year ever. Seriously, great job. Bob the streets looked awesome. First time ever downtown during the event.

frickstyle 07-20-2018 09:44 AM

Me and the crew had an awesome time, first time attendants. This was a great event, probably the best boating event I've been to. There is a lot to do between boating & exploring the area, condo at the Resort, downtown, meeting new people, checking out high end hardware, etc. We will be back next year, and will budget a few more days to spend in the area.

Thank you again to all that made this happen, great job!

Great to see you and your crew upstairs at the Pine Lake Lodge! Great band - and a great time! One of the best regions in the country.

Def cool, dance party. Had a pretty good group with me. If anyone is ever in PIB or Kellys, give me a shout ahead of time. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Oh yeah, how do you get on the main docks? Become a sponsor?
