Down hill yes, between a few hundred trees, makes it a little trickier!

TripleB 06-07-2013 01:58 PM

The trees aren't the problem, hitting them is:)

I will almost certainly ride UP before ripping down. Couple years ago I did that at Winter Park in CO....3000+ feet of vertical. Boyne "Mountain" shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Big bike race in Boyne this weekend. 1500 bikes signed up. I think I will be boating.

Took the Bad Ass dingy out tonight, a Sea Plane went all the way up to the beach dropped off two people then went right back out and took off. Just something about Sea Planes I find cool!

A normal plane on land about 60, but a float plane has lift built in to the pontoons and the air is 20% more dense directly above the water so they can lift off 45-48 mph:bow

We have 2 small Sea Planes that are white and Blue, this one is green and white, along with the big sea plane that Bullet Mans owns. This past weekend a ultra light showed up at the lake with pontoons. Pretty good for our lake to have so many Sea Planes.

RT930turbo just left me a message!!! 1. because aviation is federal, dnr has no jurisdiction on lake speed!! 2. 60-90 knots 4 takeoff depending on plane/weight etc!!!
