Todd Harper owns Turkey Point Marina and a few other thing. Cancun Cantina is bar he owns 1/2 of and he has/had a 46 Skater he raced with that on there. He had a 38' Cig that was his dads that he races as well, will never give that boat up I don't think. The other owner is Ron IIRC and he has a Concept. I forget the story but Todd is related to Johnson & Johnson (Tide, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, Listerine, etc). He had a few Tide race cars in his garage at one time. It's been about 10 years since I've seen him so doubt he knows who I am but use to boat out of Turkey Point every weekend for about 5 years.

He has (or had) a house right down the street and throws one HELL of a party!

That's a different turkey point than the one he is referring to. There are no marinas there just a lighthouse.

Dan Burger didn't want to run too hard, so he specialized in quick-starting. It was nice that the whole field waited for all boats at each card stop.

that's cool! If I made the run I would have cruised so that would have been nice. Too early in the summer to window a block!

I second that. I put this run near the top of the fun list strickly due to that fact alone. Thats how runs should be run.

No doubt!! Looking forward to doing a run with all of you guys soon!

The NJPPC does the AC poker run the same way. Last year we would stop at each stop, wait for everyone, then take off. There were several classes, the ocean class (no speed limit), the 70 mph inside group and the 60 mph inside group. In the speed limited group you could not pass the pace-boat or you would be DQ'ed. The ocean, non speed limited group, once you passed the jetty coming out of the inlet you were free to run your own speed.

I had more fun on the inside group because everyone stuck together and the last 5-10 miles we went out the cut and into the ocean so I still got to do a little ocean running that day. Coming home the next day I ran the ocean all the way home.

Blue Thunder gets the Good Samaritan award for following Jetmech back to the ramp and waited for him and his crew to trailer the injured boat and then take them all on the rest of the run. BT I bust your balls all the time but you and Jesse are a couple stand up good people. Thanks for the help with the drive and also the offer to repair it if things didn't work out at Tomes.:rock
