In the Keys we have a scuba/dive boat go by the house twice a day, one day it went by at a way wrong time and I tried to tell the girls the "Jolly Rodger" was going by but couldn't remember the name and it came out "Happy Jack"

I got the emotion and a name, close enough:rock

Handi Cap 30 07-09-2016 12:54 PM

well

whats going on at the the wrinkle fest.:)

Wrinkleface 07-09-2016 04:14 PM

Basically BT did not happen( as far as the actual run)! Boats made it across Lake Char!! Stuck noses out in Lake MI &. Turned around!! I stuck my nose out & took water over the front at idle!! So did numbats B3!! Monster swells !! About 5 boats made the first 2 card stops & back 4 lunch!! I think Bob lost all Marshall boats on Lake MI!! Mother Nature is all powerful!!:whiteflag

Did boats go further than where you turned around ?

Apollard 07-09-2016 04:29 PM

Hmm... weather maps showed 4 footers. Bet Rob's mom would have run it :laff

snowhammer 07-09-2016 04:37 PM

I will attest to the fact that it wasn't just what the waves measured, but they were tight together and windblown. Very small craft were bobbing up and down, but anything of size was having the bow blown around or stuffed into the next wave. Thanks to the volunteers, organizers and participants who made the most of it. Other than wind and waves, the weather was great!

Thats when it is better to be on plane and stay on top of the waves. :)

When you can lose a 40' boat in swells...IT'S BIG WATER! Biggest water I've been in.
